Profile

I graduated in May 2023 with my MA in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin. Now, I'm back at UT working at the School of Advertising and PR as an Administrative Associate and Internship Coordinator.

I received my BA in the History of Art from the University of Florida. At UF, I wrote an honors thesis examining how Antonin Artaud and Alain Resnais intervened in the debate on art and madness in 1940s France, specifically in relation to Vincent Van Gogh.

I have interned at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, and the Dalí Museum. While at the Dalí, I presented original research on connections between Van Gogh and Surrealism in the inaugural “Young Scholars” lecture and was published in the online journal Avant-garde Studies.

I previously worked as the Gallery Coordinator at testsite, an exhibition space that situates itself between a gallery, an open studio, a temporary residency space, and a private home. I was also an Art Editor for the literary and arts magazine Bat City Review from 2022-23. The magazine is published by the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas at Austin.

My thesis project considers the geological aesthetics in site-specific murals and filmwork by the Danish artist Per Kirkeby.
